I was born in Mexico City where I grew up and lived until my early twenties. I attended the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana, a large local University where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. I worked in research and development for a few years before discovering my love for teaching. I taught Math, Chemistry, and Physics in Mexican schools for eight years.  Currently, I live in Rowlett, Texas, with my husband Stan and my eleven year old son.  I was an AP Physics Teacher at the Garland Independent School District in Garland, Texas for eight years and the Educational Technology Coordinator for Community ISD for the past 2 years.

I am a triathlon enthusiast, in love with the healthy way of life, I take every opportunity to be a better version of myself. Apple teacher 2017 and Google Educator level 1 & 2.

I am passionate about using technology to enhance the learner’s experience.  As the EdTech Coordinator, it is my goal to promote the Creation of a Significant Learning Environments (CSLE,Harapnuik, 2010), for all students in my District. I firmly believe that all students have the right to learn in an environment that suits their personal preferences, promoting the ownership of their learning and their voice meanwhile meaningful and authentic learning opportunities are given.

        This is my blog, a fundamental piece in the Creation of my Significant Learning Environment. The purpose of this site is to create a space for reflection about my learning over time, and it will be in continuous evolution.
